This unusual and rare syndicate pack is from the US and was used to promote the program in 1996 to television companies to encourage purchase of the X-Files series on a syndicate basis.
The outer file is brushed steel with an X logo in one corner and folds out to become a display base. Inside are twelve sections with different images from the show each promoting a different aspect of the show.
Allegedly there are only five of these packs in existence.
